【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverschromium-molybdenum-vanadiumalloysteelplatesintendedprimarilyforthefabricationofweldedpressurevessels.1.2Theplatesfurnishedunderthisspecificationarerequiredtobenormalized-and-tempered.SpecificationA542/A542Mincludescoverageofthematerialinthequenched-and-temperedcondition.1.3Themaximumthicknessofplatesfurnishedtothisspecificationislimitedonlybythecapacityofthecompositiontomeetthespecifiedpropertyrequirements.However,themaximumthicknessofplatesnormallyfurnishedunderthisspecificationis6in.[150mm].1.4Thematerialisintendedtobesuitableforfusionwelding.Weldingtechniqueisoffundamentalimportanceanditispresupposedthatweldingprocedureswillbeinaccordancewithapprovedmethods.1.5Thisspecificationisexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandinSIunits.However,unlesstheorderspecifiestheapplicablex201C;Mx201D;specificationdesignation(SIunits),thematerialshallbefurnishedtoinch-poundunits.1.6Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.
