【摘要】:Theconditionsatwhichcompoundsaremoldedareknowntoinfluencethepropertiesofthespecimens.Thedegreeofcure,eliminationofknit-linesbetweenparticles,densityofthepart,anddegradationofthepolymerareamongthosefactorswhichwillbeaffectedbythemoldingconditions.Thusitisimportanttoholdtoastandardsetofconditionsinordertohaveavalidcomparisonofpropertiesbetweendifferentcompoundsanddifferentbatchesofthesamecompound.Ifthemoldedspecimensshowevidenceoflow-densityareasduetotrappedgases,theyshouldbediscarded.Abreathestepmaybenecessarytoeliminatethissituation.Itiscriticalthatthebreathestepbeasbriefaspossibletoavoidprecuringofthecompoundbeforefullpressureisapplied.Thiswouldleadtopoorlyx201C;knittedx201D;areasandlowerstrengthinthemoldedspecimen.1.1Thispracticecoversthegeneralprinciplestobefollowedwhencompressionmoldingtestspecimensofthermosettingmoldingcompounds,suchasphenolics,aminoplastics,melaminephenolics,epoxies,andunsaturatedpolyesters.Note18212;Thisstandardissimilarincontent(butnottechnicallyequivalent)toISO295-1974(E).1.2Moldingconditionsaregivenforamino,phenolic,andallylmoldingcompounds.Materialsspecificationstandardsshouldalwaysbeconsultedtodeterminewhetherthematerialtobemoldedhasanyspecialrequirements.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinbracketsaregivenforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
