【摘要】:Wetfilmthicknessmeasurementsaidinthepredictionofdryfilmthickness.Ininstanceswheredryfilmthicknesscannotbemeasurednondestructively,wetfilmthicknessisfrequentlyspecified.Also,theabilitytodeterminewetfilmthicknessduringapplicationcanprovidetheopportunitytocorrecttheapplicationprocedures.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofwetfilmthicknessoforganiccoatingssuchaspaint,varnish,andlacquer.Twomethodsaredescribedasfollows:1.1.1InTestMethodA,theWetFilmThicknessGage(EnglishorMetricgraduation(see5.1))isusedtomeasurewetfilmthicknessesupto60milsontheEnglishscaleseries,andupto700monthemetricscaleseries(Sections5-8).1.1.2InTestMethodB,thePfundGageisusedtomeasurewetfilmthicknessesupto14.2mils(360956;m)(Sections9-13).1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
